Choosing a career is a difficult and exciting process. Physiotherapy is a good choice for those who have an interest in anatomy and physiology and enjoy working with people in a very hands-on way.
Booking a physiotherapy course requires that you apply to the university concerned. They have strict entry requirements which are as follows:
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs (A-C)/S grades (1-3) including maths, English and science subjects
- Four AS levels (at least grade B)
- Three A levels (grade C or above), including a biological science
Before booking a physiotherapy course you will need to apply and be accepted. You can increase your chances of acceptance by obtaining some practical experience, perhaps as a volunteer trainer for a sports team, or by spending some time shadowing a qualified physiotherapist.
This will give you an understanding of the day-to-day work of the profession, and will also look good on your university application.
