Most people readily associate skiing and snowboarding with injuries - it's not really surprising. These are fast moving sports, and because most people only do them once or twice a year, that often lack the conditioning necessary.
While some of these are almost unavoidable, there is no doubt that doing some conditioning work before you hit the slopes will pay of big time. You'll be less likely to fall in the first place, and more able to withstand the effects of a fall when it does, inevitably happen.
