How do you moisturise skin and what men's skincare tips and advice do you think will help you.
Know all the facts on how to moisturise skin properly in order to ensure your regime is based on the latest thinking. So consider men's skincare and moisturising for your face and body.
Looking after your skin is now a key part in many men's daily routines.
Think of this - what with cold, windy weather, central heating, lack of humidity, the sun's UV rays, and pollutants in the air, your face endures a daily onslaught. So here's your choice - dry, flaky skin (very attractive), or learn a little about men's skin care products and moisturising and have beautifully soft skin.
Moisturisers are lotions or creams that replace lost oils, protecting and conditioning the skin. For good male skincare this is essential if you are to keep your skin supple, smooth, and younger-looking.
Moisturising for men - how to do it :
- First up you need to know when - in general, look to apply moisturiser in the morning after shaving and at night after washing, applying it over your entire face and neck.
- There are many different ingredients found in good facial creams - some of the top ones include Shea butter, Glycerin, Silicone, Green tea, Omegas and Aloe Vera.
- Just as important is knowing what to avoid. Things to look out for include mineral oils - they can leave a greasy film on your skin and clog your pores - and SD alcohol and formaldehyde. The latter two will dry up your skin rather than moisturising it.
- You might also consider using a facial cream that contains some sort of UV protection - UV rays can cause damage to your skin even in the winter months and on cloudy days. A moisturiser with SPF 15 will provide plenty of protection.
Finally, think of the other things you can do to improve your skin. Maintaining a healthy diet full of fresh fruit and vegetables, and drinking plenty of water are both important factors in maintaining good skin.
