A peaceful retreat in the Scottish countryside, Stobo Castle Health Spa offers its guests the chance to relax and be pampered, far away from the stresses and strains of city life.
Perched on a hilltop beside a beautiful loch in the Scottish borders, and set in its own rolling grounds, Stobo Castle health spa is an ideal location for guests to get away from it all for a few days. Edinburgh, the nearest train station and airport, is 25 miles away, and the retreat is also an easy drive from Glasgow, Carlisle or Newcastle. The resort features sumptuous, elegant interiors, fine food, and highly trained, unobtrusive staff, so guests can enjoy undisturbed comfort throughout their stay.
Whether you come to chill out, or work out, Stobo Castle Health Spa has an array of facilities and treatments to choose from. There's a pool and gym onsite, and, beside the pool, the unusual Crystal Steam Room, combining tiny ice crystals and essential oils. The Ladies Health Suite offers unlimited use of the dry-heat Laconium, while the Aroma Room uses steam blended with the fresh aroma of Eucamenthol. The Ice Fountain offers an invigorating rub with ice crystals, and in the Experience Shower guests can chose from a range of settings. The Secret Garden treatment room offers a luxurious two hour treatment using massage techniques from exotic cultures combined with rare herbal extracts. A session in the Serailbad Mud Room will eliminate toxins and leave the body relaxed and rejuvenated. Body treatments range from Swedish massage to the gentler option of a full body paraffin wax treatment with oils.
The centre also employs male therapists, and asks guests to avoid consuming alcohol for 24 hours prior to treatments.
