There will also be extensive study of techniques such as massage and manipulation, the use of electrical treatments like ultrasound and infrared radiation, exercise therapy, and hydrotherapy. All courses will include an extensive practical element, involving placements in a clinical setting, where students will work alongside qualified and experienced practitioners. If you are already working as a physiotherapy assistant it may be possible to take a part-time degree whilst remaining in employment. Alternatively, for those who already hold a first class or upper second class honours degree in a relevant discipline, (biological science, psychology, sports science), may be eligible for acceptance into an accelerated postgraduate programme.
