Self tan & spray tanning

A means for you to bronze your skin, self tan and spray tanning products are increasingly sought after. In these days when fear of skin cancer has driven many of us out of the sun, self tan can be a safe alternative and spray tanning a quicker route still!

A self tan generally takes at least an hour and for best results you should take a cool shower before hand. In addition a body scrub will exfoliate your skin removing dead skin cells leaving a smooth surface to spread the cream evenly.

Both for spray tanning and self tan creams or sprays, it's important to make sure your skin is completely dry before applying moisturiser followed by the product itself. Wetness or perspiration may lead to streaking and it is key to apply the cream with care.

Try to achieve even coverage. Some parts of your body will absorb more than others so through practice you will learn how much to apply where. Palms of hands and armpits should be avoided while knees and elbows should be treated lightly.

What are the benefits?

You avoid the many risks associated with exposure to direct sunlight. This includes skin cancer as well as premature ageing, wrinkles and sun burn. Developments in technology mean that the risks of turning bright orange or having a strange odour have disappeared as long as you use a quality product.

Giving yourself a bronze glow can increase your confidence and make you feel more attractive. When you go on holidays, you don't have to feel like you're a glowing white beacon in a sea of tanned beautiful bodies.
