One of the most accessible ways to learn, diet books offer you sound researched advice on the latest ways to lose weight, potential side effects and of course some great dieting tips.
As well as online sources, the most popular diet books, like those championed by celebs, are available from all local book stores. Whatever the plan you want information on, there's a diet book for you and with a large bookshop - it will be there!
As so many of the population are looking to lose weight, diet books may be a good place to get information to start losing weight and by comparing the range of diet books you will see the breadth of choice but there are lots of things to look out for when considering a publication.
Remember that you can do some of the research online, but there is less control over the 'review' than with a published book as anyone can write a page on the web whether they have researched or not!
When reviewing weight loss plans, make sure that you take a look at a number of factors which the plan should have :
- Five portions of vegetables and fruits.
- A minimum amount of fiber (25g is an ideal amount).
- A maximum 30 percent of your calories from fat.
- Out of that 30 percent, a maximum of 10 percent should be from saturated fat.
- Cholesterol levels of no higher than 50 milligrams.
