Flexion tests are most commonly performed on the hip flexors by having the participant lie flat on their back and then bring one knee to the chest while the other remains straight, extended from their hips.
Hip Flexion Test
Doing a hip flexion test every so often is a good way to ensure that your iliopsoas muscles are not becoming overly tight. This is an especially important assessment for runners and sprinters to do as these muscles are usually very stressed by this type of movement.
