What you need for barbell squats:
- A barbell and squat rack
- A weight-lifting belt

how to do it |
Stand in the squat rack in your gym underneath a moderately weighted barbell
Position the bar across the fleshy part of your shoulders / upper back. Place your feet shoulder width apart
Take the weight of the bar. Keeping your back flat, slowly sit back until your thighs are parallel with the ground
Without pausing drive your feet into the ground and stand up into the start position. Pause and repeat |
