Close grip bench press - the nature of this movement allows you to lift heavy weights.
Keep the elbows close into the body during the lift. |
What you need for close grip bench press :

how to do it |
Position yourself on a bench with your feet on the floor, your back flat against the pad and a bar above your chest
Position your hands approximately 12 inches apart and extend your arms to take the weight of the bar
Slowly lower the bar under complete control. Try to keep your elbows facing forward throughout the movement
Forcefully push the bar back to the start position. Repeat. Remember to maintain control of the bar at all times |
