NCF abdominal curl conditioning
Introduction
For a structured assessment of abs strength, take the NCF Abdominal Curl Conditioning Test.
|
What is the point?
The objective of the NCF Abdominal Curl Conditioning Tests is to assess the strength and condition of your core muscles. With trainers placing more and more emphasis on core strength, an objective assessment such as this is an excellent way to measure the effectiveness of your training.
What do you need?
- Gym mat
- NCF Abdominal Curl Conditioning Test audio tape or CD
- Tape recorder or CD Player
- Stop watch
- Assistant
How do you do the test?
- Performing as many sit ups as possible whilst keeping time with the beeps from the tape or CD.
- The assistant counts the number of sit ups completed correctly, and monitors the time from the start of the test.
- The test ends when you can no longer keep time with the beeps, or when your sit ups are no longer being performed correctly.
It should be noted that this assessment involves pushing yourself to the point where you can no longer maintain the pace dictated by the tape or CD. This is quite strenuous.
If you are suffering from any injury or illness, or have any health concerns, check with your doctor before doing this assessment. |
