Run every year by the FIA, the 'Commit To Get Fit' campaign is a national fitness campaign that starts in early July that aims to encourage in excess of 100,000 people to try and improve their general fitness through going to the gym.
Having been run for over 15 years, 'Commit To Get Fit' runs throughout July and August and involves all the leading health clubs and leisure centres, as well as smaller independent ones, to offer fitness assessments and to discount their memebership fees to attract new gym goers.
In previous years this has been supported by celebrities including Sir Steve Redgrave, Seb Coe, Sally Gunnell and even Arnold Schwarzenegger. As well as encouraging the fitness of the nation, 'Commit To Get Fit' has also generated more than ?1 million for charities. Each year there is a chosen charity that receive all the proceeds.
Organised by the Fitness Industry Association and supported by the NHS, Commit To Get Fit offers the public the chance to get out there and start a healthier life option.
There are over 500 health & leisure clubs that take part right up and down the country including LivingWell, LA Fitness and David Lloyd. With the special discounts and 'try before you buy' schemes, why not advantage of a life changing offer to get some exercise.
